University of Utah Begins Implementation of GT Paperless I‑9™
16 March 2009

The University of Utah has engaged Gideon Taylor to implement the GT Paperless I‑9™ , our electronic version of the DHS Form I‑9 for PeopleSoft applications. The implementation project will begin this week, and is scheduled to complete in four weeks.

The University helped sponsor the initial development efforts of the GT Paperless I‑9™, which has since been implemented at the University of Houston. We are excited to see it add value to the University of Utah, replacing the currently paper process and cutting the onboarding cycle time.

Having the GT Paperless I‑9™ in place will also prepare the University to implement the GT E‑Verify Integration™, should the State of Utah's requirement to implement E‑Verify by July 1, 2009 remain in force.

We are grateful for the University's trust, and look forward to a successful project.

12 March 2009

Gideon Taylor is happy to announce that the University of British Columbia, one of the top three universities in Canada, has chosen to implement GT eForms™ and ePAF™. The University will use our proven software solutions and a GT-trained consulting team from our Canadian partner, Sierra Systems, to automate select high-volume HR transactions.

UBC is planning to begin their implementation in the 2nd quarter of 2009.

The University of British Columbia is the second major Canadian university to implement GT eForms™ and ePAF™, following the University of Alberta in 2007.

We look forward to working with such a distinguished institution, and continuing our productive partnership with Sierra Systems.

Announcing the Invoice eForm for PeopleSoft Financials
09 March 2009

Gideon Taylor set the industry standard for PeopleSoft HCM eForm automation with ePAF™. Now we are bringing the same standard to Financials business processes with the Invoice eForm for PeopleSoft Financials.

GT has developed a demo version of the Invoice eForm for PeopleSoft Financials 9.0. It is the first of a suite of financial eForms that GT plans to develop.

The Invoice eForm can be populated either by core office staff, departmental staff or directly by vendors. It can also apply edits while it is being filled out, reducing error management overhead starting from the point of entry. Built on the robust GT eForms™ framework, it supports approval routing with conditional branching, participant notifications and customized views for different participants and form types. Scanned supporting documentation can be attached, routed and stored electronically with the Invoice eForm.

The Invoice eForm is part of the eForms Library, and available with license of GT eForms™. All current GT eForms™ licensees can obtain the Invoice eForm template at no additional cost.

Gideon Taylor looks forward to bringing the eForms revolution to PeopleSoft Financials!

GT eForms™ 2.8 to be Unveiled at Alliance 2009 in Anaheim
02 March 2009

Gideon Taylor announces the public debut of GT eForms™ 2.8, the new release of our flagship electronic forms and workflow development framework. GT eForms™ 2.8 includes many powerful new features, including many that expand the power of the functional analyst to control the business process without technical assistance or App Designer access.

For example:

  • Online Approver Lists allow online management of participants in workflow
  • Visual Ifs allow pages or approval steps to be turned on or off conditionally
  • New version and patch tracking and migration tools make staying current and sharing solutions much easier
  • The bulk of our framework code has been migrated to our new GLIB Class Hierarchy, which will allow GT code and client code to coexist without overwriting each other
  • HTML email templates provide for beautifully formatted, client branded workflow notifications

We will be demonstrating these new features and many more at our booth and in our vendor presentation at the Alliance conference, including FewSteps, our new functionally easy workflow tool. FewSteps allows a functional user to add a workflow trigger to an online component without any technical work!

Gideon Taylor is pleased to be a Silver Sponsor for Alliance 2009. Watch for our pre-conference email on Thursday March 12, or click here for a sneak preview. Also watch our website for more information about GT eForms™ 2.8.
