GT News Stories—April 2009
University of Utah Goes Live with GT Paperless I-9™ Today the University of Utah completed its Production go-live of the GT Paperless I-9™ product, inaugurated by the completion of its first completely electronic I-9. The implementation project reached this milestone ahead of schedule, and under budget. Gideon Taylor is now assisting the University with a systematic training program to prepare department-level Employer Representatives to administer the I-9 to new employees. The GT Paperless I-9™ will cut paper, increase compliance, and provide a fully searchable, electronically manageable repository of employment verification data. ATK Licenses GT eForms™ and Begins ePAF™ Implementation Project Gideon Taylor is happy to welcome Alliant TechSystems (NYSE: ATK) as our newest GT eForms™ licensee! Based in Minnesota, ATK is a premier aerospace and defense company with more than 18,000 employees in 22 states, Puerto Rico and internationally, with anticipated FY10 revenue in excess of $4.7 billion. ATK intends to implement and customize GT's award-winning ePAF™ template applications to automate personnel action actions across their enterprise. To this end, ATK will engage our Gold Partner, Infocrossing, to assist with implementation, customization and training. The resulting solution will save ATK time and money through reduced human effort, much faster cycle times, easier training, less errors and paper process elimination. GT is honored by ATK's confidence and investment, and excited to demonstrate the value of our solutions in the aerospace and defense industry. University of Utah Commissions Independent Legal Review of GT Paperless I-9™ As part of its consideration of Gideon Taylor's electronic I-9 solution, the University of Utah engaged Holland and Hart, the premier law firm in the West, to provide an independent review. In March Christopher Thomas, partner at Holland and Hart and an expert in employment law, thoroughly reviewed the GT Paperless I-9™ solution for compliance with Federal statute and process efficiency. Today Mr. Thomas presented the University with a very favorable opinion letter. The letter provides the University with the final assurance to move ahead with implementation of Gideon Taylor's completely electronic, fully compliant I-9 solution. We appreciate the University's due diligence, and Holland and Hart's professionalism in the performance of this review. University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center Goes Live with ePAF™ Phase II We are happy to announce that the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center (OUHSC) has gone to Production with Phase II of ePAF™, Gideon Taylor's personnel action form automation solution for PeopleSoft. The purpose of the project was to extend the successful implementation of ePAF™ for staff to the faculty group. The staff eForms to Hire, Job Change, report Leave of Absence and Terminate were expanded to add and update faculty administrative and secondary titles and complex salary calculations. In addition to the ePAF™ Faculty eForms, a Personal Data eForm was added for both Staff and Faculty use. The team also developed a Security eForm that provides the departments an electronic form for requesting PeopleSoft HR security. After automatically routing for needed approvals, the eForm triggers a notification to Service Now to open and close a service ticket. This provides OUHSC an efficient way of managing security, and reduces points of entry from two to one. During the project, the ability to insert attachments was added to all OUHSC eForms, allowing related documents to travel with the electronic form, reducing the time that approvers had to wait for paper documents to catch up with the electronic form. The documents remain permanently accessible when viewing the eForm, both during and after the approval process. The Project Team delivered the functionality in only eleven weeks, on-time and under budget. |
